Have you ever seen a person drawing and thought “I wish I could do that”
Drawing is one of the most basic and primitive forms of expression since we evolved as humans. Some of the oldest examples of drawings made by early humans date back to 60 thousand years and they are incredibly rich both in beauty and details. However, drawing is an ability that seems to be lost in most of us.
Like with many other technical skills we often have a lot of misconceptions that prevent us from even exploring the idea of an attempt to master these skills and drawing is one of those.
This course provides not only the technical aspects of basic drawing but also unveils and debunks those misconceptions, helping you to feel more and more confident while holding a pencil to a piece of paper.
If our paleolithic ancestors could do it you most definitely could too! It’s all about having the right mindset and the right attitude and building up your confidence.
In the course we will cover aspects like:
- Getting to know the materials
- The cognitive and psychological benefits of drawing
- Hand, wrist, elbow coordination
- How to observe an object
- Drawing with geometrical shapes
- Drawing outlines and silhouette
- Textures and patterns
- Shading and light
- Basic perspective
I hope this course gives you the confidence to create the habit of drawing every day.
